The August Bring ‘n’ Brag category was Vehicles. Since the weather was unfavorable at the picnic, the August contest was actually held at the September meeting. We had three entries:

1st place went to Neal Schorr for his submission of an O-scale 1980s Chevrolet Pickup with cargo load. This is an old Chevy box truck that has been weahered and a load added. Additionally, the front license plate for a western state could not be removed, so it was covered using a Steelers license plate. The photo image shows the vehicle as it is being used on my layout to haul junk out of the now closed Mapleton Market.

2nd place went to Susan Werner for her circa 1915 Hearse with hand-painted details.

3rd place went to Rick Montgomery for his set of 4 HO scale vehicles. These are some of the vehicles on his MJC&L RR. Jordan Banana Company trucks for JOBCO plant are Walthers decals special made to fit truck sides. Ronnoco Beveragew Solutions trucks are also Walthers decals from work stickers cut to fit sides and tops. Conrail crew buses are die cast painted and decalled to match prototype buses used to transport crews.
